Terry Johnson

Terry Johnson is a self-taught potter who helped us out with our soup bowl supply in 2015.  Originally from Renton, he served 10 years in the US Coast Guard, settled in Port Townsend with his new wife and became one of the town’s police officers.  In 1972, Terry moved to Wenatchee and started his sign making business which you may recognize as Terry Signs, which he, now at age 77, continues to operate (as of 2021).

Wishing for some variety from sign painting work, at age 60 he branched into more 3D art, working with clay sculpting and wheel thrown pottery.
