Suzi Lane

Suzi Lane paints life.  She captures natural landscapes, blooming flowers, and people enjoying life.  The amazing scenery around Leavenworth and the community that has grown around this town fascinate Suzi.  In addition to the beautiful mountains and rivers, Leavenworth is an incredibly fertile source for Suzi’s portraiture work.  The many festivals and activities ensure a broad mix of people – shopkeepers, recreationists, naturalists, farmers and orchardists, food and wine enthusiasts, teachers, artists, and the list goes on.  Suzi’s portraits provide more than a likeness – she portrays the spirit of her subjects.

After a career in the software business, Suzi now enjoys working in her Leavenworth studio.  She works in watercolor, pastel and acrylic and has studied painting techniques from a variety of artists – primarily through classical training at the GAGE Academy of Art in Seattle.

Suzi strives to make art that transforms the viewer by evoking a memory of a place or event, by engaging with a loved one, or simply by transforming a moment.

Suzi is presently showing her work at Two Rivers Art Gallery in Wenatchee and is a member of the Wenatchee Watercolor Society.
