Shelby Jo Cambell

Shelby Jo Campbell currently lives Wenatchee with her husband, Austin and her dog, Arrow. She has recently made the transition to being a full time artist. She attended the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University and received her BFA in Illustration.

Shelby paints mostly in watercolor, gouache, and ink. Her photography and traveling are a major source of inspiration for her and if she isn’t able to sit and paint on location, than you will find a camera in her hand. Her paintings are studies of places that she has traveled and are made to capture the feeling of being there or a particular memory of that place. They are made to evoke emotion in the viewer and bring up memories of their own rather than just be a realistic depiction of a place.

When she is not painting you can find her in her studio in Wenatchee where she also does screen printing for her clothing line, Heirloom Clothing Company. You can find more of her work on Instagram at: @shelby.jo.campbell .View more of her work on her website at: www.shelbyjocampbell.com.

This is her first year as an artist for Empty Bowls. She is very grateful for the opportunity to work alongside other amazing artists and help a cause that benefits our community so much.
