Johanna Sparks

Johanna Sparks has travelled for her love of art using her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington to teach both pottery and English.  From 1975 until 1989, Johanna lived in  Avignon, France for 4 years and in Germany for 10 years.  “I also taught English and art in a private French school in Frankfurt, Germany during that time”.

Her studios were always “re-invented kitchens”!

“After returning home to the United States, I once again began using my pottery and sculpting skills, developing my art to the projects of today”.  “I feel a strong connection to earth-energy which I express in the form of small, mythical beings, communing with earth-life: poppies, lady bugs, snails, frogs, etc.”

When asked to speak as to why she loves to contribute to Empty Bowls. . . “I think it’s an honor to be able to contribute my art work to a worthy cause.”

Please call Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort if you are interested in Johanna's work.
